Monica P. Cervantes is the owner of Twin Horse Environmental and Vida Medical Management, serving West Texas and the Permian Basin primarily in Oil and Gas, Construction, and Manufacturing industries in their safety, environmental, industrial hygiene needs. 
Monica obtained her Bachelor of Science in Biology, along with a minor in Kinesiology, from the University of Texas. She serves as the WSO Global Safety Roundtable recorder/reporter. She is currently part of the Medical Reserve Corp. for the DOH in New Mexico which is designed to provide care and medical services to low to high COVID patients. She also is a recognized community leader for the Mexican Consulate of El Paso and has facilitated events to provide legal services and free training on WSO importance and OSHA regulations to consulate members and public. Along with WSO certifications, Monica is currently an OSHA General industry Instructor, FEMA Advanced Incident Commander, American Red Cross Professional Rescuer Instructor trainer along with many other industry specific certifications, Monica has dedicated her life to health and safety after experiencing her father’s work-related accident at 19 years years of age. Her passion and motivation is to make life long changes in employees and people’s lives to prevent injury. She taught at New Mexico Junior College for 17 years physical education and health courses and currently trains Lease operators for oil and gas for New Mexico Junior College Continuing Education program. She also taught secondary education science for New Mexico schools along with preparing students for ACT test at New Mexico Junior College with Upward Bound Program. She is also a federal grant writer. With this skill she has facilitated funding for nonprofit agencies within her community and taught agency leaders the skill of grant writing. Monica has volunteered her time to serve on the board for Teen Court of Lea County, Lea County Center of the Arts, and currently serves on Equity Council for Hobbs Schools. Monica has also self published 2 books and translated 1 book to help motivate and inspire individuals to reach for a better tomorrow. Monica believes safety is gained through knowledge and service provided to all with limitless access to those who are least and those who need to hear.
